There are few things more frustrating than having trouble with your Craigslist ad getting flagged/ghosted. Posting anything on Craigslist puts you at their mercy. They can choose to allow or block anything. HTML ads with images trigger flags more than plain text ads, but HTML ads look and standout to buyers much better so it’s a trade off. All Craigslist ad templates contain HTML, including those generated by ListHD. If you are having trouble with your ListHD ad getting flagged or ghosted, try these suggestions.
- When selecting template options in the Post It box, check SnapShot. This basically creates an image of your template then gives you the code to post that one image with a link going to your ListHD ad. The result is much less HTML code in your Craigslist ad and a slightly better chance of not getting ghosted.
- Take out any unnecessary HTML styling in the description field. If you don’t know what this means, you probably haven’t added any styling and shouldn’t worry about this.
- Also, consider posting to a different category on Craigslist if possible. Keep in mind if you have already posted the ad (and it was flagged), you must wait at least 48 hours before posting the same item again according to Craigslist rules.
- If the above doesn’t work, you can always post a direct link to your ListHD ad. HTML code for a link is provided for you under the Post It box.
Hopefully these suggestions will help you post to Craigslist and ultimately sell your items faster or for more money. Keep in mind that these are suggestions and are not guaranteed, so kindly send feedback if something should be added to this list or changed. Also, send feedback to report ads posted with ListHD templates on Craigslist that have been ghosted using the subject: Report flagged/ghosted ad. Please include the link to your ad on Craigslist that has been flagged/ghosted.
